We are seeking a driven, self-reliant, adventurous licensed veterinarian technician who is willing to travel outside the US to manage a clinic for Explosive Device Canines (EDCs) in overseas locations with 24/7 emergency availability as the sole provider for these EDCs.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Capable of giving medical advice telephonically to a staff or Vet Tech at remote locations

  • Assist DVMs with patient histories with electronic health record

  • Place IV catheters and blood draws

  • Assist with blood culture machines

  • Monitor anesthesia

  • Patient care client education/communication

  • Maintain inventory management with equipment, supplies and medications

  • Monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative medicine

  • Conduct EDC weights, teeth and ear assessments

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or prior experience with Working Dogs

  • Active license or certification in one state within the United States

  • Proper documentation and reporting skills

  • Strong customer service

  • Knowledge of current medical technologies and performing diagnostic procedures

  • Sound Judgment

  • Professional Integrity

Desired Qualifications:

  • Arabic or French language speaking skills (not required)

  • Previous military experience (not required)
