Job Description

SASSI is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to assist, lead, and coordinate closely with leadership within the Department of Defense Chief Information Office (DCIO). Position involves Cybersecurity development, review, coordination, adjudication, communication, and compliance. This analyst will also support SME development, coordination and maintenance of all assigned DCIO-wide Policy and Business Operation.


Duties shall include:

  • Assist management in support of policy development, review, coordination, adjudication, promulgation, communication, and compliance for daily IT Operations, DCIO Enterprise Policies, Cyber Security, Information Assurance, etc.

  • Work closely with Senior Leadership at Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Office.

  • Support SME development of SME Self-Inspection Compliance Checklists to ensure policy implementation, monitoring and tracking of compliance.

  • Support SME analysis and compliance determinations for Gap Analysis, and Policy revisions/updates as/if required.

  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

  • Support implementation of Policy Business Process Improvements.

  • Support tracking and reporting of Policy Business Analytics.

  • Support tracking and reporting of metrics and Policy Performance Measures.

Qualifications


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years equivalent experience or experience within computer science, system engineering or other cyber security related field.

  • Experience in working with information security or other relevant work experience

  • Broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDPs

  • Ability to identify vulnerabilities within an enterprise/mission partner network whether it is on-prem or remote

  • Ability to protect data through cybersecurity architecture policy and documentation

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with knowledge of, and in-depth experience, skill and expertise working policy, Strategic Planning Agenda, and cybersecurity.

  • Department of Defense (DoD) Policy Architecture background preferred, not required.

  • Demonstrated experience working with DoD Policies is preferred, not required.
