As a Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer at SASSI, you’ll be applying your cloud engineering expertise to design, implement, and configure AWS, Azure, Oracle and other Cloud Service Providers delivering cybersecurity architectures leveraging containerization, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud native solutions to aid in the migration and modernization of DoD mission applications deploying to or maturing in commercial cloud.
In this role, you will:
Develop, deploy, maintain, support and optimize cloud environments that host critical business applications and underlying infrastructure/utility servers.
Translate business objectives into technical solutions using enterprise cloud data toolsets, warehouses, and business intelligence platforms
Leverage knowledge and skills associated with Cloud management consoles and Managed Services
Build Infrastructure As Code (IaC) and utilize Cloud-native and shared services in an automated fashion
Implement DevSecOps including auto-scaled architectures for rebuilds
Design, develop, configure, and manage mixed Windows and Linux environments
Facilitate planning for and migration of existing applications and workloads into commercial cloud environments
Identify opportunities for technology innovation and improved security in the areas of design, data management/protection, access control etc.
Promote zero-trust principles for securing privileged access to critical cloud workloads
Must hold a minimum Secret clearance
Must have CompTIA Security + Certification or higher
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 2 years relevant experience.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with cloud management services and utilizing cloud services to build IaC
Experience with provisioning, configuring, managing cloud services such as VPC/Subnet/Security Group, EC2, ECS, CLI, S3, Route 53, Cloud Watch, Lambda, Config and IAM; Security Center, Sentinel; etc.
DoDM 8570.01 compliant certification for IAT II (e.g. Security+) or plan to obtain one within 6 months
Experience in DoD
Experience with HBSS and ACAS
Experience with/knowledge of containerized CI/CD deployment such as Docker, Open shift and Kubernetes; Ansible, Terraform, Git
Experience with complex application integration and/or migration
Understanding of current and emerging technologies across multiple domains including network, database, endpoint, virtual computing, cloud computing, ML, and AI
