Job Description
As a ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME at SASSI, who will join our team and support our United States Government client remotely. The ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME shall provide support for ServiceNow business solution needs across the Cybersecurity Department to improve the Department’s ability to detect, react and recover from the advanced cybersecurity threat. The tasks shall include but are not limited to the following.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Act as a ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME.
Serve as a ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Expert.
Perform baseline assessment and analysis of current Cybersecurity processes against the ServiceNow product suite and make recommendations to Cybersecurity CISO on solutions that would automate or streamline current processes and/or daily activities.
Deliver assessment results and recommendations on additional ServiceNow modules or functionalities to Cybersecurity CISO within twenty (20) business days of Task Order kick-off meeting.
After written notification by Cybersecurity CISO, the ServiceNow Developer, in collaboration with Contract Project Manager, Cybersecurity CISO, or Program Management Office (PGMO), and key stakeholders, shall develop the requirements to implement recommended additional ServiceNow modules or functionalities accepted by CISO, per the Cybersecurity PGMO framework, methodology and internal processes.
The ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME shall perform, but not be limited to, the following task activities.
Define, collect, and provide the requirements documents.
Design, develop and provide the design documents including configuration documents with development and version release notes.
Develop and provide a deployment strategy and approach.
Develop and provide testing strategy and approach, testing plans, and test scenarios, conduct testing and provide test results; and
Develop and provide training on software module(s) solution maintenance for change control, updates, patching, and troubleshooting.
Upon approval and acceptance of the requirements for the implementation developed in Section above, the ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME shall implement and fully deploy the additional ServiceNow modules or functionalities for the Cybersecurity Department.
The ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME shall perform the following task activities and provide the applicable artifacts.
Conduct testing in accordance with testing strategy and approach, testing plans and test scenarios, and provide the test results.
Manage technical governance.
Provide knowledge transfer.
Monitor instance health.
Develop and provide written and visual standard operating procedures (SOPs);
Develop and provide user guides, tips & tricks.
Troubleshoot and provide troubleshooting analysis and reports.
Develop and provide operational best practices operational guidelines for utilizing ServiceNow modules; and
Provide any other artifacts that may be requested by the Contract Officer Representative (COR) and/or assigned Cybersecurity Program Management representative to the Contract Project Manager.
Other task activities as required, but unspecified, to meet full deployment.
The ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME shall store all artifacts on the appropriate TEAMS project site library for review, comment, changes, and approval by project key stakeholders and leadership.
The ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME shall follow the Cybersecurity Department standard operating procedures provided by the Government Customer for ServiceNow Sr. Developer/SME review, including potential revisions made by the Government Customer as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
US Citizen
Must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance
A minimum of 8 years overall Platform Architecture experience.
Knowledge of integrations and automation tools
Hands-on experience working on Service platform (implementing new functionalities, upgrade testing, modifying/creating Portal pages, and widgets)
Proven experience as the lead technical resource leading the development of solutions in client environments.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring, perform peer code reviews, and ensure the ServiceNow team follows software development best practices.
Experience with implementation of Service Now core platform functions, ITSM processes, custom or scoped app development, and at least one of the following: Discovery/Service Mapping, Project & Portfolio Suite, ITBM, ITOM, or Performance Analytics.
Experience building scoped applications in ServiceNow that leverage the power of the platform while providing unique functionality to the Client.
Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
Experience leveraging MID Servers for integration and automation.
Prepare and present client-facing and internal deliverables that are technology related.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs that represent actionable development tasks.
Maintain production instance reliability through utilization of Change and Configuration Management processes.
Serve as the Release Manager with final technical authority to approve releases into Production
Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance with the application.
Collaborate with System Administrators and ServiceNow Support concerning strategies and technical aspects of platform upgrades.
Oversee major version upgrades and install patches.
Design and develop solutions within the ServiceNow environment to include new or modifications to applications, forms, workflow, policies, actions, access control, interfaces, and any other configurations required to support client processes.
Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.
